We are seeking expressions of interest from highly skilled, reliable, and motivated casual rowing staff for the 2025-26 season.
The Genazzano Rowing program is one of the most prominent schoolgirls' rowing programs in the country with a rich and proud 40 year history. The program caters for approximately 80 girls and is complemented by the College's whole sport program, including our impressive Physical Performance Centre (PPC), and a supportive parent community.
Genazzano Rowing train out of their boatsheds in Hawthorn on the Yarra River and at the Physical Performance Centre at the school's campus in Kew.
- As a rowing coach at Genazzano FCJ College you will
- Guide student athletes (Years 8-12) through inclusive, engaging training sessions on and off the water, aligned with the Head of Rowing's program.
- Commit to all training sessions, regattas, camps, and events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment that values teamwork, resilience, empathy, and personal growth.
- Uphold high safety standards and best coaching practices while planning and delivering effective training sessions.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Bring experience in rowing and coaching, a strong technical focus, and a passion for developing athletes of all skill levels.
- Assist with the operational aspects of the rowing program and contribute proactively as a team player.
- About You
- Rowing Australia, Level 1 Coach Accreditation
- Marine recreational motor boat license
- Level 1 First Aid Certificate, including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Light Rigid Heavy Vehicle License (Optional)
