Company Description Commis Chef (Full Time) | Mercure Gold Coast Resort Mercure Gold Coast Resort is a 292-room hotel situated on over 3.5 hectares of manicured gardens, featuring extensive food & beverage operations, two resort pools, and conference facilities. Located amidst expansive gardens on the Gold Coast, it offers a serene and luxurious environment.

This role primarily involves breakfast shifts, servicing buffet and à la carte breakfast, as well as lunch service.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING : Preparing and serving food for breakfast buffet, maintaining freshness and quality.Contributing ideas to keep the menu varied and exciting for guests.Preparing mise en place as required.Ensuring consistent, high-quality food production in line with resort standards.Managing stock rotation, minimizing wastage, and assisting with food orders.Keeping all work areas clean and tidy, and maintaining equipment.YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE : Trade qualified (minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery).Previous experience in a commercial kitchen preferred, with understanding of food safety standards.A passion for food and high standards of production and presentation.Ability to maintain food safety standards.Excellent communication skills, high grooming and personal presentation standards.Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.Flexibility to work a 7-day roster, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.Reliable with a positive attitude towards early morning starts.Unlimited work rights in Australia.
