TE Connectivity's Information Security and Compliance Teams execute security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs. They research attempted efforts to compromise security protocols, maintain security systems for routers and switches, administer security policies to control access to systems, maintain the company's firewall and use applicable encryption methods. TE's Security and Compliance Teams also provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.
TE Connectivity in ANZ region is looking for an IT Security Team Leader to lead the implementation, operationalization, and execution of IT / security risk management processes in a high quality, consistent manner across the global organization processes in alignment with industry recognized cyber-risk management frameworks.
The Information Security Team Leader is responsible for managing and monitoring the security controls that protect the assets of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, implementing protective measures and responding to information security events.
The Information Security Team Leader will ultimately focus on the areas in which their skills and interests overlap with the needs of the company and team.

Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
Monitor current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
Encrypt data transmissions and erect firewalls to conceal confidential information as it is being transmitted and to keep out tainted digital transfers.
Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
Modify computer security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change individual access status.
Review violations of computer security procedures and discuss procedures with violators to ensure violations are not repeated.
Document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests.
Confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
Monitor use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information in computer files.
Coordinate implementation of computer system plan with establishment personnel and outside vendors.
Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency.
Maintain permanent fleet cryptologic and carry-on direct support systems required in special land, sea surface and subsurface operations.
Requirements : Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and two years of experience in the job offered.
Travel Requirements : Less than 10% domestic and international travel.
