About the Role :
Plan, manage and continuously improve all branch-level information-technology services so that One World Rental’s Sydney logistics hub and on-site event networks operate securely, reliably and in line with corporate SLA, ISO 27001 and ITIL standards.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Lead the Sydney ICT team—set KPIs, coach technicians, manage the on-call roster and represent the branch at weekly APAC IT forums.
- Architect, deploy and maintain LAN / WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall and 4G / 5G fail-over links; ensure ≥ 99.8 % infrastructure uptime.
- Administer cloud and on-prem systems including Windows / Linux servers, Azure AD, Intune, Microsoft 365, backups and disaster-recovery tests.
- Own the service desk (Tier 1-3) using Freshservice; monitor SLA metrics, perform root-cause analysis and publish post-incident reports.
- Design and deliver temporary event networks (switch stacks, Wi-Fi mesh, AV integration); provide on-site support to guarantee 99.5 % device uptime.
- Develop automation scripts for user provisioning, asset audits and health-check reporting; pilot emerging technologies and draft business cases.
- Manage ICT governance—maintain configuration / change registers, apply critical patches within 14 days and run quarterly licence-compliance audits.
- Control ICT budgets and assets—oversee SIM-card pool, IoT data plans and hardware / software procurement, keeping spend within ±3 % of forecast.
- Liaise with vendors and stakeholders—escalate complex faults, negotiate support credits, and brief clients on technical requirements before events.
- Ensure WHS, ISO 27001 and company-policy compliance across all ICT operations, documenting SOPs and delivering cyber-awareness training to staff.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline or minimum three years’ full-time equivalent ICT support experience.Proven background administering Windows & Linux servers, LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 and endpoint-management tools (Intune).Sound knowledge of routing / switching, firewalls, VPNs and event Wi-Fi deployment.Competence in scripting / automation (PowerShell or Python) and ITIL incident / change management.Desirable certifications : CCNA / CCNP, Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+.Excellent written and verbal English; strong analytical, customer-service and team-leadership skills.Eligibility to work full-time in Australia; willingness to participate in after-hours on-call roster.Location :

AU$75000 to AU$80000 per annum along with super
