ANU Press is a prestigious scholarly publisher ranked amongst the best in the world. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for promoting and increasing access to and use of a fantastic range of published resources - books and journals and emerging forms of scholarly publishing.
The Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the marketing plan for the Press, developing marketing campaigns and reports, coordinating digital advertising on social channels, CRM, marketing events and book launches, evaluating and overseeing current distribution channels and providing advice and feedback on book trade, distribution and marketing initiatives. The role will also work to increase promotional opportunities with internal and external partners, encourage increasing sales of print titles, and increasing the impact and engagement of ANU Press books and journals.
You will have a strong marketing background, preferably in an academic or publishing environment, and contribute to new marketing initiatives and develop and improve the area's marketing and communications practices and processes, with a commitment to continuous improvement and best practice in stakeholder engagement and web-based digital marketing experience.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to develop a brief marketing campaign to present during interview and complete a copyediting task for social media prior to interview. Details of the campaign will be provided upon shortlisting.
This position is based at the ANU Campus in Canberra, ACT; the successful applicant will be required to work from the ANU Press office on campus.
