A Day in the Life

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical professional to join as Territory Manager based in South Australia (SA) and to be an integral member of our Structural Heart team at Medtronic.

The Structural Heart operating unit offers minimally invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart valves. We focus on the transcatheter replacement of the four heart valves—Aortic Heart Valve, pulmonic, mitral, and tricuspid.

In this role, you will achieve sales revenue targets for a specified territory, provide complete account management within that territory, and practice professional and effective territory management in terms of organization, technical expertise, administration, inventory management and expense planning and control.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned :

Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and / or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targetsResponsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionalsResponsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and / or servicesPromotes and establishes education of the company's products and / or servicesConducts market research including customers and competitors activitiesImplements market development plans / strategies and changes as neededCommunicates customer feedback on new products and / or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and MarketingTravel as required

Required Knowledge and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in nursing, general science, business degree or similarMinimum 3-5 years of experience within Medical Devices or clinical healthcare (scrub nurse, radiography, cardiology)Sales experience & / or sales capability in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth, or knowledge of account planning, territory management and forecasting in devices or healthcare industryAdvanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs / theatres / departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling, and key influencersCardiac Catheter Lab experience is highly regardedComprehensive clinical and technical knowledge including clinical papersKnowledge of account planning, territory management and forecastingAdoption of consultative selling strategies : excellence in planning, execution and evaluation of sales callsGood negotiation skills : works to facilitate negotiations which involve other businessesStrong clinical and business relationships with customersComputer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of softwareMaintain a valid driver's licenseWillingness to travel locally, as well as interstate & internationally as required
