PURPOSE
The Food Services Assistant will provide a client focused service delivery, be responsible for performing a high standard of quality service to clients in the preparation, safe delivery and presentation of meals including cleaning duties of the dining area.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA : (Each criteria below is to be addressed in your cover letter)
1. Demonstrated experience in Catering, Food Services and Hotel services.
2. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently.
3. Physical capability to perform various cleaning, food service, meal support and catering duties.
4. Willingness to undertake training relevant to job role.
5. Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct, Karitane Values, and other professional standards applicable to the position.
6. Ability to support HACCP accreditation preparation.
7. Certified in Food Safety practices.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Permanent part-time position in accordance with the Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Health Employees Agreement 2019. Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area.
2. The majority of Karitane services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas / New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.
3. Karitane supports a smoke free environment including grounds, buildings and vehicles.
