The Role

Working as part of a supportive and engaged team, in this role you will be responsible for coordinating Freedom of Information (FOI) cases received by Air Force and Defence Space Command. Your success in achieving this will be underpinned by your ability to engage with stakeholders to consolidate and analyse information to assist in the preparation of documents for Accredited Decision Makers (ADMs). This will involve providing comprehensive advice to ADMs to generate accurate submissions that comply with the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 1982.

About our Team

The Royal Australian Air Force Freedom of Information (RAAF FOI) area is responsible for enabling Air Force to meet legislative responsibilities under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act). The area manages all FOI requests that come into Air Force and is instrumental in ensuring compliance with statutory obligations imposed by the FOI Act. RAAF FOI work in a collaborative and supportive manner to provide specialist advice to action areas and decision makers about their rights and obligations under the FOI Act.

To be successful in this role you will :

Have well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build and foster effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Demonstrate an ability to achieve results and deliver on work responsibilities and key priorities.

Have strong analytical skills to enable you to effectively and pragmatically manage coordination of complex FOI cases.

Have the ability to work independently and autonomously without supervision and as part of a broader team within an integrated workforce.
