Fixed Term appointments have the possibility of extension(s) and / or permanency.Applicants deemed Suitable will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur anytime before 30 December 2025.What is our Medical Records Clerk role?Medical Records Clerks are responsible for all aspects of effectively capturing and storing patient medical records, including their retrieval, maintenance and completeness, using legacy and the digital medical record system (DMR).Our Medical Records Department is responsible for the management of the patient's medical record, ensuring that all documentation is scanned and maintained in a standard format.
Our service is currently transitioning to the Digital Medical Record (DMR) as part of the WA Health statewide enterprise program.To Be Successful In The Role, You Will DemonstrateSolid basic computer skills, including common Microsoft 365 tools.Good written and oral communication skills, and effective interaction with other people.Productive collaboration and teamworking.Capability to work under direct or routine supervision, either individually or in a team.Thorough training in our systems and processes will be provided as part of our induction to the role.The department is operated by a large team of clerical staff and the service operates 7 days week, covered by three shift times each day, so this role requires rostered shifts, including after-hours, weekends and public holidays.While your qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values and attitude speak louder still.
