Geospatial Analyst
We are currently recruiting a Geospatial Analyst to join our specialist Advisory business. This role may be based either in Canberra, ACT or Bendigo, Victoria. Location is flexible to suit you.

Advisory Services
In our Advisory Services division, everything starts with a problem that needs a solution. We act as an independent, technical partner for customers looking to procure defined services and develop specific capabilities. We help them diagnose, rationalise and solve intractable problems by providing analysis, advice and assurance, enabling our customers to make sound decisions about cost, time and performance.
Data extract transform load (ETL) e.g. 'massaging' various data inputs into our customer's desired format / structure
Spatial Data Analysis such as creating a prioritisation model from various sources using spatial queries
Spatial Data Visualisation including presentation of requirements, production plans, SOTD etc in a way that highlights various aspects of that data
Spatial Data Optimisation e.g. structuring spatial data for optimal web performance simplification / generalisation of country boundaries
Design and implementation of data schemas such as creating new feature layers / data tables and relationships between them
Design and publish of maps
Spatial Data Content Management including. administering portal groups, publishing and updating services
To be successful in the role of Geospatial Analyst, you will need to bring with you skills and experience in the following areas :
ArcGIS API for Python, Jupyter Notebooks
ArcGIS Data Interoperability Extension or FME
ArcGIS Pro
ArcGIS Enterprise
Geoprocessing ServicesDe
Applicants will also need to hold an existing Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance of at least Negative Vetting 1(NV1) level.
Whilst not essential, experience using ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.x and 4.x and BI tools will advantageous as will database skills (SQLServer / SQL queries). Previous experience with ESRI dashboards and Experience Builder will also be highly regarded.
