As the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, you'll champion and drive a coordinated strategy to unlock the social, cultural and economic potential of NSW's vibrant screen, sound and night-time economies.You'll lead and advocate for the development of initiatives that champion innovation in film, music, sound and screen.
This includes shaping live music precincts, funding new screen and sound projects, strengthening festivals and performance programs, and breaking down regulatory barriers that hold back creative and night-time activity.As a visible and credible voice for the sector, you'll work in partnership with government, industry and communities to build momentum, secure investment and expand access across the state.
Through this work, you'll help shape a bold and inclusive cultural future that reflects the diversity, energy and ambition of NSW.
This is a senior executive role with real reach and responsibility, driving change across government, industry and the broader economy.To learn more about the role, please click here to download the role description.About you : You're a senior leader with deep experience and credibility across the night-time economy, screen or sound industries with a solid understanding of the others.
You must also have a proven ability to deliver results within or alongside government.
You understand how government works, how to navigate its systems, shape policy, manage stakeholders and deliver outcomes.You bring strategic clarity, commercial acumen and public purpose.
You'll represent the NSW Government with credibility and confidence, championing initiatives that position the state as a global leader in the night-time economy, screen and sound industries.
With excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, you understand the complexity of this environment and know how to get things done.You're action-oriented and delivery-focused, able to translate ideas into strategy, and strategy into results.
