Senior Associate - Liability

Kennedys is looking for a Senior Associate to join our growing liability & casualty team in Melbourne, working closely with specialist Partner, Michael Kavanagh.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of casualty, product & public liability matters, property damage and Victorian Workcover recovery claims.

The vast majority of cases will be litigated, although occasionally there is some early pre-litigation advice required.

This is an opportunity for an experienced lawyer to develop their career working for a reputable global law firm.

We are looking for a candidate who is a team player, can develop and maintain excellent client relationships and is keen to be involved in marketing / business development and client training activities.

Types of Matters : Working for London syndicates and domestic and international insurers, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle a variety of claims including but not limited to :

Casualty workWorker claims and Victorian WorkCover Authority recovery claimsProduct & public liabilityProperty damage claimsPolicy response adviceWho We Are Looking For : 5 years + defendant litigation experience with a focus on liability and casualty claimsExperience in property damage & Victorian Workcover preferred but not essentialAbility to run own caseloadExcellent knowledge and understanding of Australian personal injury lawStrong academics
