The role of IT Security Manager will be responsible for the Company’s IT security strategy and ensuring that IT systems and information assets are adequately protected. Reporting to the Group Manager IT, you will build a culture of delivering IT security services that not only support the constantly evolving needs of our business but also build a culture of cybersecurity awareness and preparedness across the company.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage ongoing development of the IT Security strategy and manage delivery of resulting initiatives.

Manage delivery of IT Security services to the business, spearheading vulnerability audits, forensic investigations and mitigation procedures and coordinating response to security-related incidents.

Manage ongoing development of an IT security governance framework (minimum standards, policies, and procedures) appropriate to a globally diversified engineering company.

Act as a key liaison between senior management, technical staff and business stakeholders on IT security and risk issues, promoting company-wide awareness of IT security responsibilities, protocols and procedures.

Monitor the external threat environment for emerging threats and advise relevant stakeholders on appropriate courses of action.

Continue development of a cohesive IT Security team and foster collaborative partnerships with other technology teams.

What you’ll bring :

Relevant tertiary IT security / cybersecurity qualification or equivalent competency.

Experience leading IT security teams with security operations, governance and risk management focus.

Knowledge of IT security risk management frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO / IEC 27001 or COBIT5.

Proven experience developing IT security policies and procedures and implementing controls that meet business objectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, combined with strong business acumen and the ability to understand and articulate technology concepts in business terms.

Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects across multiple domains under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives.
