Mayday Healthcare is partnering with a ground-breaking harm reduction service in Sydney CBD to recruit Registered Nursesfor a truly meaningful opportunity.

You'll be working at a specialised facility within the community that supports some of the most marginalised members of the community. This is more than a job. It's a chance to be on the frontline of progressive public health.

As part of a small, highly-skilled, and mission-driven team, you'll contribute to creating a safer and more compassionate environment for people who use drugs.

The RoleWe are seeking Registered Nurses for an ongoing block of temporary shifts for the next 2 months. (June & July)

Shifts operate Monday to Friday, either 9 : 30am–6 : 00pm or 1 : 30pm–10 : 00pm.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where clinical judgement, calm decision-making, and empathy are critical.

Who You AreYou're AHPRA-registered as a Nurse, with 2+ years' post-graduate experience

You bring experience from alcohol and other drugs, mental health, or emergency care

You're passionate about harm reduction and committed to treating all individuals with dignity

You understand the complexities faced by people who inject drugs, including their legal, health and social challenges

You're confident in emergency response.

You thrive in collaborative teams and can document clinical interactions with accuracy and care

What You'll Be DoingProviding medical supervision and intervention to reduce drug-related harm

Engaging with clients to build trust and encourage access to broader health and support services

Supporting a non-judgemental, inclusive space that prioritises safety, respect and dignity

Contributing to a service that's proven to reduce overdose deaths and improve outcomes for people who use drugs
