PRIMARY DETAIL- Salary Package : From $108,391 - $117,519 (HEW Level 7) plus 17%

employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.- Appointment Type : Full time, fixed term 6 month roles until November 2025 with potential to extend- Location : Hybrid working arrangements at our Macquarie University Campus Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde

We have two exceptional opportunities available for experienced Media and Communications Advisors within two of our leading institutions - _MQ Health which encompasses the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences and the Macquarie University Hospital and clinics, and the Macquarie Business School!_

We do this by delivering outstanding storytelling through earned, owned and internal channels that engages students, staff, academics, industry and the wider community.

About the Roles

The Media and Communications Advisors will develop and implement communications strategies and plans, supporting Faculty and University media and communications objectives.

Both positions play a critical role in the identification and promotion of research to external audiences (including media), provide expert communications advice to stakeholders and executive leaders, and collaborate with other members of Group Marketing to deliver a holistic marketing communications service to our stakeholders.

  • MQ Health _-_ This role will support the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, and Australia's first university-owned teaching hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and clinics._ _Previous experience writing for a health and / or science publication, or working in a health or government environment, would be highly regarded._
  • Macquarie Business School _-_ This role will support the Macquarie Business School. MQBS is the focal point for all business, management, economics research and education at Macquarie University.

About You

We are looking for two experienced communications professionals, with outstanding knowledge of communications strategy and planning, including effective and high-profile media engagement. These roles will require an expert in written communications and a great influencer, as well as strong relationship management skills. You will have creativity, and experience in PR and Media Relations, internal communications and contributing to a wider strategic communications function.

To Apply- Expert writing and editing skills across a range of communications channels as well as expertise in writing for a range of diverse audiences.- Demonstrated experience working in a full service, in-house communications function including working with team members in high performing teams.- Experience in PR or media relations, with examples of media generated.- Experience in building relationships and influencing senior management teams providing counsel across a range of communications issues.- Experience in communications strategy planning and implementation communications across earned, owned and internal communications channels.- Knowledge of digital communications platforms and tools, media engagement and internal communications.
