    • Key duties and responsibilities
    • The contractor appointed under this RFQTS will operate on a time and materials basis, with a range of key responsibilities and deliverables anticipated throughout the engagement. Central to the role is the establishment and ongoing maintenance of the LCS DD Engineering Management Plan (EMP), ensuring it aligns with the LNIC Engineering Management System (EMS) and its associated governance and controls. The contractor will work closely with the LCS DD Program Manager to oversee work take events, ensuring consistent compliance with the EMP and the quality of resulting artefacts. Acting as a representative of LCS DD, the contractor will participate in the Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board as needed, while also ensuring effective configuration management within the LCS DD Program. Additional duties include conducting technical reviews and approvals of engineering designs, documents, and specifications, as well as maintaining quality control over all LNIC Design Frame outputs in line with the EMS. The role requires active liaison with the LNIC Engineering Manager on matters of EMS compliance, support for external technical engagements, and collaboration with the LNIC Technical Executive to uphold broader engineering processes. Engagement with external engineering and technical stakeholders to stay informed on evolving technology solutions is also a key component. The contractor may be called upon to perform other reasonable services as directed by LNIC Executive Staff.

    • Response must be as a one-page pitch addressing the essential criteria
    • Essential Criteria
    • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in project management to meet level 3 DSS panel requirements.
    • Advanced qualifications (preferably a Master's in Systems Engineering) and / or extensive experience in Computer Science, Software, Computer or Electronic Engineering.Proven experience as a Senior Engineering Manager providing high-level technical, design, and risk advice to executives.Familiarity with frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3O, AGILE, and the One Defence Capability Model.Experience with defence engineering processes (preferably in the Land Domain) and safety-critical systems.Leadership of large, multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple locations.

    • Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering and preparing high-quality reports and presentations.
    • Desirable Criteria
    • Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary ICT teams and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

      Strong knowledge of engineering management methodologies and frameworks.Experience in systems engineering, ICT, mechatronics, or similar technical fields.Understanding of government frameworks such as the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Land Worthiness process.

    • Background in delivering military technology projects, ideally in live environments.
