Officer - Education Programs
We are thrilled to offer an incredible opportunity to join our dynamic Education team and make a meaningful impact with our education programs.
Based at our awesome Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting to the Education Programs Coordinator, this full-time position will have you actively supporting our schools and community groups across a variety of locations, from the beaches and pools to inland waterways, schools, and online platforms across the State.
As an Education Program Officer, you'll play a key role is the success of the Life Saving Victoria education programs and resources This includes leading engaging educational initiatives at aquatic venues and schools, as well as assisting with the scheduling and booking of programs throughout the year. Your work will help deliver, administer, and promote life-saving education, making a real difference in communities across the state.
The role involves collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, requiring excellent client management skills and proactive engagement with others. Key responsibilities include :
You are an experienced officer, with strong administration skills and a continuous improvement mind-set. You will be an exceptional collaborator who is comfortable communicating at all levels. You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Your enthusiastic, approachable, and can-do attitude will be the basis of your success in this role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with mínimal supervision, lead teams as well as part of a group / team.
Previous experience as an officer in a sporting, emergency service or volunteer-based organisation and knowledge of or interest in water safety, lifesaving, Life Saving Victoria, Surf Life Saving Australia and Royal Life Saving Society Australia is highly regarded
