ALG Talent is hiring two Operational Leaders for a six-month casual assignment to support the operational leadership team of an aviation organisation in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a solid operational and business mindset, combined with strong people management skills, to step into a hands-on leadership role. You'll support a team of tradespeople and assist the existing supervision team with day-to-day operations and business processes.
About the role :
- Provide hands-on support to lead and motivate a team of tradespeople as needed
- Support existing supervisors by taking on business processes, people management tasks and occasional project work
- Promote and uphold safety systems and compliance, including risk assessments
- Assist in cost and business management activities
- Work in a dynamic, trade-based operational environment
What we're looking for :
Strong background in operational and people leadershipExperience from trade-based industries such as aviation, automotive, transport, freight, logistics, or similar (Desirable but not essential)Available to work Monday to Friday : 7am to 4pm and, or shift workFinancial awareness to support cost-effective operational decisionsConfident understanding of safety systems, risk management and compliancePractical mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day leadership and business prioritiesReliable, steady approach to taking pressure off existing teamsEligible candidates with the above qualities are encouraged to apply now!
