Job Description
The AEC is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to support a high-profile program delivering web portals, applications and integration solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure. The engineer will work with multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with developers, solution architects, and platform specialists to ensure Azure environments are correctly configured, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards. The Azure Engineer will also play a key role in supporting deployment automation and ensuring the consistency and reliability of the Azure hosting environment.
About the project
The Funding and Disclosure Reform Program was established to enable the AEC to implement and administer legislative amendments to the Commonwealth Funding and Disclosure Scheme (the Scheme) as set out in Part XX of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 (Electoral Act) to increase transparency and accountability in Australia’s electoral system. The Program is made up of three branches – the Program Management Office Branch, the Regulatory Enablement Branch, and the Technology Delivery Branch – that will work together to uplift the AEC’s regulatory capability by designing, building and implementing new processes, resourcing, tools, systems and technology to successfully administer the Scheme.

1. Demonstrated experience in developing Azure DevOps CI / CD YAML pipelines using Bicep and / or ARM
2. Relevant qualifications in IT, including cloud certification
3. Experience with GIT version control and common branching strategies
4. Demonstrated knowledge of IT frameworks, such as ITIL and TOGAF
