Your role at St John of God Health Care

You will manage the payroll processing for hospitals and services, along with the customer service function which includes the management of the Payroll Customer Service Centre.

The position is responsible for identifying issues and trends and working with the Payroll Operations Manager and Project Managers to make changes to operations and processes to improve customer service and payroll processing.

The Position- Implement, document and maintain payroll operations processes and procedures that support sound business practices, a high level of customer service, compliance with control requirements and organisational change.- Monitor results and disbursement of EFT payments and coordinator payruns.- Remain current on all HRM principles, trends and regulations / legislation regarding payroll matters.- Provide high level leadership and expert advice to the Payroll, Systems and project teams on delivery of high quality customer service to all caregivers and stakeholders.- Be the primary contact on behalf of the team for escalations and complaints from all sites.- Create, review and maintain standard communication templates across the payroll team to ensure high quality and consistent communication from all Payroll team members when working with caregivers and stakeholders.- Identify priority issues and trends that are impacting on quality of customer service from Payroll and work with the Payroll Operations Manager and leadership team to identify root causes, make process or communication changes and resolve issues.- Communicate effectively with Payroll leads, Hospital stakeholders and services to build relationships of trust, and identify and resolve customer service issues.- Manage and drive the provision of high quality customer service to all caregivers contacting the Payroll Customer Service Centre.- Drive the implementation of focused Customer Service training within the Customer Service Centre.

You will have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in a payroll leadership role, a depth of understanding of the range of services and responsibilities within payroll processing. Experience in healthcare is highly desirable.

In addition, you will have proven experience with managing the delivery of excellent customer service and / or building high performance teams in a payroll functional environment, with the ability to understand payroll legislation, interpret EBA's and Awards and audit requirements for payroll processing teams.
