Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller plays a critical leadership role in driving financial integrity, performance, and compliance across the business.

You will lead a high-performing team to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and continuous improvement of our finance processes.

This role goes beyond reporting, it's a unique opportunity to contribute to transformation projects, including system upgrades, automation, and acquisition integration. You’ll work closely with the CFO and Senior Leadership team to shape strategy, drive performance, and support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and internal controls
  • Oversee the financial close process, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness
  • Partner with the CFO to deliver insightful financial analysis and business performance reviews
  • Lead and mentor a team across financial accounting, accounts payable / receivable, and tax
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, controls, and reporting efficiencies
  • Manage external audit and liaise with key stakeholders including banks, insurers, and regulatory bodies

About You

  • CA or CPA qualified with 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within retail, FMCG, or a product-based environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and tax compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve processes, and operate with high integrity.
