Job description

About the role

Provide efficient and effective inventory support services based on accurate and timely information, processing, ordering and delivery requirements to support the Sustainability, Infrastructure and Asset Services (SIA) Branch in the delivery of Infrastructure and Assets, and provide back up support within Emergency and Resilience Management and Sustainability and Performance, including Fleet activities. You will be required to liaise and engage with a range of customers and stakeholders, acting as a primary contact for the team for majority of the incoming and outgoing communication, maintaining confidentiality, and utilising tact and discretion.

About you

  • the ability to deliver a high-level customer service within a multi-disciplinary team environment, prioritise a workload, and establish good work practice by focusing on the client.
  • the ability to verbally communicate needs, messages and information with clarity and sensitivity while interacting professionally and effectively with internal and external clients.
  • the ability to plan and provide intermediate level administrative support with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other relevant systems i.e., S4HANA, SAP, etc, to maximise your efficiency and work outputs.
  • a sound knowledge of purchasing policies.
  • the ability to provide solutions to specific purchase processing situations, whilst meeting organisational or task needs.
  • the ability to effectively build rapport and relationships with all team members by demonstrating communication skills, adapting to change, respecting others, and providing on-the-job training to other staff members as required to ensure essential tasks are undertaken
  • Mandatory Requirements
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01 / 16
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12 / 21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
