    • What you'll do
    • As a Procurement Specialist, you will be supporting and executing strategies for indirect categories, delivering the best total cost of ownership that effectively meets business needs and objectives as well as ensuring compliance to the procurement policy implementation. You will report to the Procurement Manager ANZ and look after the day to day procurement activities for Australia and New Zealand across all of AstraZeneca's Commercial Business Unit.

      Primary responsibilities include :

    • Supporting multiple indirect soft service categories such as Market Research, Advertising, Media / PR, Medical Communications, Professional Services, Transport and more
    • Providing procurement insights to support cost management and provide timely visibility in relation to risk and opportunity
    • Identifying opportunities for increased profitability and innovation that is aligned to AstraZeneca's strategic direction
    • Establishing, leading, and executing category plans, strategies and frameworks including market approaches, procurement analysis, supplier development and evaluation, to meet Clients needs and expectations
    • Providing insights and reporting to Regional Category Managers as well as gathering and reviewing data to support category management and strategic sourcing activities
    • Presenting sourcing project outcomes and key recommendations to key decision makers
    • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on vendor onboarding process and support in completion of onboarding requirement.
    • Review data quality and provide ad hoc analytical support.
    • Working on Jaggaer / AZ Procurement Platform to conduct RFXs / RFPs as well as updating value trackers and contractual commitments

    • Essential for the role
    • 4 years of experience in Procurement in relevant categories
    • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry coupled with experience in a multi-national or sophisticated local environment
    • Stakeholder and supplier management with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
    • SAP P2P experience would be highly preferable
    • Understanding of Commercial Contracts, legal terms, risk management and analyses
    • Professional and strong commercial acumen with the ability to problem solve and implement sustainable solutions to address issues
    • Relevant degree or equivalent
    • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with lots of variety
    • Accurately review tasks, with a strong attention to detail, and delivers high-quality results
    • Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for efficient ways of working
