  • BACKGROUND
  • The Intelligence Analyst, APAC is a mid-level position reporting to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Intelligence Officer. The Intelligence Analyst will be integrated into the APAC team for FS-ISAC's Global Intelligence Office (GIO), which spans Singapore and Australia. The FS-ISAC's GIO is responsible for the formal threat-sharing and analytical reporting for its members. Intelligence Analysts deliver insight for a greater understanding of the significant tools, methods and actors currently targeting the sector. This is a diverse, global team in a fast-paced environment.

    • Please note that this position requires on site work for at least two (2) days per week.
    • The position will entail strategic intelligence analysis to produce deliverables for FS-ISAC members in the APAC region and will require a strong understanding of cyber intelligence and risk management. Fluency in English required. Some travel may be needed for meetings and conferences. This position is physically based in Sydney location at least two days per week. Fully remote work is not available.

    • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Work physically in location for at least two days per week;
    • Obtain an Australian security clearance.
    • Work regularly in English, both written and verbal.
    • Employ analytical techniques and analytical writing skills to a variety of audiences.
    • Provide real-time information to members on threats to the sector and incident reporting, in accordance with FS-ISAC classification and handling protocols;
    • Conduct multiple-source intelligence analysis on current and emerging threats using advanced research methods and analytical techniques for finished intelligence products in coordination with the firm's intelligence strategy;
    • Operate as FS-ISAC public-private partnership (PPP) lead for Australia, engaging in two-way coordination and communication with government and law enforcement entities;
    • Support local and regional threat webinars or calls with members;
    • POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS
    • Intelligence Analysis Skills - 7 to 10 years of threat intelligence analysis experience with an understanding of geopolitical and economic triggers;
    • Writing Skills - Developed analytical writing skills with knowledge of the basic analytical principles; able to write for different audiences;
    • Communication Skills -Effective verbal skills for daily virtual team discussions, collaborating with team members with complimentary functions, briefing key findings to different types of audiences;
    • Time Management Skills - Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple products / reports at the same time to a high degree of quality; able to keep to deadlines;
    • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • 7 to 10 years professional work experience as an intelligence analyst required; experience in cybersecurity will be considered;
    • University or graduate degree desired in a related field of study;
    • Experience in strategic intelligence analysis required.
