Assistant Asset Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and analytical Assistant Asset Manager to join a high-performing commercial property fund management firm. This role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial mindset and an interest in asset-level strategy, financial performance, and portfolio optimisation.

Working closely with the Fund Manager, you’ll support the delivery of strategic asset plans and investor reporting while also playing a key role in lease management, compliance, and project coordination. You will be exposed to high-value commercial assets across multiple property sectors and gain strong insight into end-to-end fund and asset management.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform financial modelling and cashflow analysis at asset and portfolio levels.
• Review monthly financial reports, analysing arrears, budget variances, and operational issues.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for investors and the board.
• Draft Fund Expiry papers for investor distribution.
• Assist with development of strategic asset and fund plans.
• Support Capex and development project delivery.
• Review, negotiate and execute lease transactions in line with strategy.
• Monitor lease milestones, including expiries, options, and reviews.
• Work with managing agents to ensure portfolio-wide legislative and contractual compliance.
• Review and maintain service contracts and essential services across all assets.
• Coordinate onboarding of new properties post-acquisition, including transfer of leases and documentation.
• Maintain accurate registers of lease documents, insurances, and bank guarantees.

About You :

• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in commercial property, funds management, or asset management.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with modelling and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel and financial systems.
• Highly organised with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
