We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team on a full-time, 6-month contract. This is a vital role within our aged care organisation, ensuring timely and accurate financial processing that supports our commitment to quality care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process and code invoices in line with the Chart of Accounts and Financial Delegation
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date creditors ledger
  • Manage vendor payments in line with contractual obligations and payment terms
  • Respond professionally and promptly to creditor queries
  • Process credit card expense journals and client payments
  • Prepare and post monthly journals, including BAS submissions and PAYG payments
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and general administrative duties
  • Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You : Essential :

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and accounting principles
  • Proficient in general office administration tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable :

  • Experience in aged care or a similar environment
  • Familiarity with finance-related systems used in residential care
