The Position

A modern, fully renovated clinic in Mount Isa is seeking a VR General Practitioner to join the team as an independent contractor. The clinic offers excellent earning potential with a private billing structure, flexible hours, and a 3-month high hourly rate guarantee. There is a high demand for GP's and you are guaranteed to have a fully booked schedule from day one. The clinic also provides opportunities to engage in occupational medicine for the local mining companies, with very high billing potential through corporate billings.

This is a DPA location, making it an ideal opportunity for overseas doctors participating in the Specialist PEP program.

The Clinic

This well-established clinic, located 2.5 km from the city center, has been fully renovated to provide a modern, comfortable environment for both patients and staff. The clinic features : 2 large waiting rooms capable of holding 155 patients. 16 consulting rooms, a 4-bed treatment room, and 2 procedure rooms, fully stocked for any medical needs. Specialist support services including a Diabetes Educator, Audiologists, Dietitian, Podiatrist, Hand Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, and Cosmetic Injectables. Flexible hours with GP consultations generally running from 8am to 4pm, but customizable schedules and appointment lengths. Full-time nursing support available during all clinic hours. Occupational health opportunities with high-billing work physicals for quarry and mining workers and optional RSHQ EMO accreditation.

The clinic operates a private billing structure and offers a breakdown for Item 23 billing :

• 23 A : 5 minutes or under at $60.
• 23 B : 6-12 minutes at $80. 23
• C : 13 minutes or more at $110.
