Job descriptionResponsibilities Reading and Interpreting Specifications Review job cards, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. Ensure accurate interpretation of technical details. Calculating Dimensions and Tolerances Utilise mathematical knowledge and measuring instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances. Maintain precision during the rolling process. Plate Preparation Layout, measure, and mark steel plates to prepare them for rolling. Ensure proper alignment and positioning. Machine Setup and Operation Set up, adjust, program, and operate rolling machinery. Follow established procedures to achieve desired results. Quality Control Measure and inspect completed parts to detect defects. Ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards. Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting Observe and listen to operating machinery to identify malfunctions. Determine the need for adjustments or repairs to prevent damage. Assist with routine machine maintenance as required. Efficiency and Safety Use time management skills to improve efficiency and reduce double handling. Follow safe work procedures and promptly report any hazards. Maintain a clean and safe work area through daily housekeeping. Key Competencies Fluent English Able to read, write, and understand instructions effectively. Task Completion Demonstrates the capacity to follow tasks through to completion. Attention to Detail Maintains precision and accuracy in work. Mathematical Ability Comfortable with calculations and measurements. Numeric Skills Proficient in numerical operations. Hand-Eye Coordination Good coordination for handling machinery. Essential Qualifications Trade Certificate Relevant certification in metalworking or related field. Experience 1-2 years of previous experience operating manual and / or CNC rolling machines. Desirable Qualification Forklift License Holds a valid forklift license. Working Hours Early Shift 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM Afternoon Shift 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM Employees working the afternoon shift will receive a 15% shift allowance
Required Skilled Rolling Machine Operator to work producing components.
