Job description

Fuse Recruitment are seeking a Forklift Operator for an immediate start in Smithfield. Day shift, Monday to Friday leading to permanent paying $35 p / hr.

Shift times

  • Usual shift times :  6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday
  • However, must be flexible to work anytime between 4am - 8pm

    • Duties and responsibilities :

  • Operating high reach forklift up to 5 racks high
  • Counter balance forklift to load and unload trucks
  • Driving Toyota / Hyster brand forklift
  • Packaging finished goods
  • Will be required to go in and out of the production area occasionally
  • RF scanning
  • Manage and check documentations in the warehouse
  • Use of pallet wrapping machine
  • Must follow strict WHS policy and procedures on site
  • Manual handling duties up to 20kg

    • Skills and Requirements :

  • Experience working in Food manufacturing facility (advantage)
  • Must be committed to working the role long term
  • Must have experience operating high reach and counterbalance forklift
  • Experience picking, putaways and replens up to 5 racks high
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks, B-doubles and semi trailers
  • Must have an LF forklift license
  • Follow strict WHS procedures on site
  • A positive attitude with attention to details
  • Must be reliable and responsible at all times
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
