Safety Officer

Our client is a global industrial automation leader, dedicated to prioritising their culture, reimagining their portfolio and elevating their execution. The team is seeking an experienced Safety Officer, based at their site in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane, only 20 minutes from the CBD.

You will be responsible for creating a workplace that prioritises the safety and well-being of all workers, contractors, and visitors. Additionally, you must ensure the preservation of the environment affected by our client's operations. This will involve careful planning and implementation, in accordance with the businesses' HSE systems and procedures, while also adhering to applicable Federal and State WHS acts and legislation.

• Specifically, you will
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, develop and deliver training and perform system and site audits on site;
• Drive global safety initiatives within the front-line teams;
• Ensure continuous reporting on monthly training, safety observations, injury management and incident data;
• Facilitate HSE and ECO meetings as well as site toolbox talks;
• Conduct incident investigations and determine corrective actions;
• Manage rehabilitation and return to work;

Develop and continuously update policies, procedures, training documentation, training matrix; and

Conduct HSE inductions for all new employees.

• Who we will love

To thrive in this role, you will be a self-starter who has a genuine passion for helping others. You will have proven experience in a similar role with a willingness to assist where required. You will also have :

• Minimum of a Certificate IV in OHS;
• Experience delivering EHS training;

Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards; and

The ability to adapt and communication across all levels of a business.

The salary range for this role is $100k - $110k + super.
