Position : Full-time Early Childhood Educator
Annual salary $74,000+superannuation
- Qualifications, certificates and experiences required
- Must have at least 2 years of work experience
- Working with children check
- Bachelor / Diploma or Certificate III in Children Services (or working towards)
- First Aid Certificate including up to date CPR
- Management of Anaphylaxis Certificate
- Management of Asthma Certificate
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Knowledge of VELDF, EYLDF and NQS
- Knowledge of family centred practice (desirable)
- Knowledge of Reggio Emilia Approach (desirable)
- Genuine love for children (most essential)
- Responsibilities
- Program, plan, and implement experiences to stimulate children's development in all aspects, using the National and Victorian Frameworks as a foundation.
- Provide a flexible program that allows for differences in children's abilities, developmental levels, and needs while fostering social skills.
- Prepare and conduct age-appropriate activities, including educational and recreational experiences, games, and storytelling.
- Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for children's education and recreational activities to support learning and engagement.
- Guide and manage children's behavior positively, supporting their social development and interactions with peers and educators.
- Supervise children during recreational activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Encourage each child to become secure and independent in their environment by promoting self-confidence and autonomy.
- Oversee and assist in the supervision of children's daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and transitions between activities.
- Supervise and promote children's hygiene practices, ensuring a clean and healthy environment.
- Actively encourage and support cultural inclusion by celebrating the diverse backgrounds of children, families, and colleagues within the center.
- Ensure program documentation is regularly maintained for each child, forming the basis for individualized learning experiences.
- Discuss with ECTs and the Director about children's progress, programming ideas, and best practices in Early Childhood Education
- Foster a nurturing and respectful environment where children's self-esteem, sense of self-worth, and rights are valued, protected, and reinforced.
Pay : $74,000.00 per year
