    • Base salary ranges between $5,973.00 and $6,262.40 p.f. (Nurse Grade 10).

      About the role

      The North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) Nursing and Midwifery Professional Practice Unit (PPSU) supports and empowers nurses and midwives to develop their Professional Practice, personal and professional growth and supports the advancement of professional health education and training.

      The PPSU provides strategic leadership for education and clinical practice development for nurses and midwives across the North West HHS. The service utilises a continuous assessment model to meet education standard requirements and is responsive to evolving internal and external demands and practices determined by strategic health service priorities.

      The Nursing Director provides contemporary operational and professional nursing leadership for the Professional Practice Support Unit (PPSU). The role shapes clinical and corporate governance; and provides the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.

      Requirements

    • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration / licences.
    • A post graduate qualification or currently enrolled in a post graduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
    • Appointees will be required to work Monday to Friday business hours and as required for the organisation.
    • The position may involve travel to various facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service.
    • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
    • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
    • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to : Hepatitis A / B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
    • A period of probation may apply.
