Some of the duties include :
- All aspects of medical reception including greeting and communicating with patients, liaising with GPs, other health professionals, health care services and support staff and billings.
- Billing and processing Medicare claims
- Scanning, typing, maintaining and managing patient records
- Providing financial consent
- Maintaining and managing operative theatre lists including clear communication with hospitals, anaesthetists, assistants, and patients
- General administrative duties

- Excellent verbal and written communication and great people skills
- Highly organised and able to multitask and thrive in busy working environment
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality
- Attention to detail and empathetic to patient and team needs
- Excellent computer and typing skills and experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency
- Desirable Criteria
- Prior experience as a medical receptionist
- Experience with medical software program Genie
- A genuine interest and commitment to patient care
- Flexibility to cover staff as required
Above award rates commensurate with experience.
