Castleross Construction is a civil contractor specialising in complex infrastructure projects across Australia. We deliver high-quality FRP and precast concrete works and are known for our hands-on approach and strong site delivery. We are looking for a reliable and detail-orientated Accounts Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day finance functions, managing accounts payable and receivable, keeping our project finances up-to-date, and helping ensure we meet key reporting and compliance deadlines.

Role Overview

As the Accounts Coordinator, you will handle the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable tasks that keep our projects and operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working across multiple projects. You will be a key part of the team – ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, reports are up to date, and supplier and clients are paid on time.

Key Responsibilities

Track and enter invoice into the finance system, making sure they are approved and matched to purchase orders or contracts.
Process supplier and subcontractor invoices on time, using the correct project codes and keeping payment schedules up to date.
Reconcile payments and bank transfers, making sure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Add new assets to the system and run monthly depreciation, updating the Asset Register as needed.
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) for ATO review.
Generate client invoices, follow up outstanding payments, reconcile receipts, and manage new client accounts in the finance system.
Set up new projects in the financial system, monitor cash-flow, and support financial report preparation to keep project budgets on track.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor or Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent.

5 to 8 years’ experience in a broad account’s role (Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable).

Familiarity with XERO or similar accounting software.

Construction industry experience preferred.

As the business grows, this role will be reviewed regularly and may be split into separate functions to better support operations.
