About the Role :

We are seeking a  DIESEL MECHANIC  to join our dynamic team in Townsville where your expertise will keep our vehicles on the road! As a vital member of our maintenance crew you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Fleet to repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with precision.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct mechanical assessments for diagnosis and fault finding in machinery ensuring efficient repair, maintenance and servicing to keep our fleet on the road
• Service the entire fleet including trucks, trailers, dollies and motor vehicles in adherence to our Maintenance and Workshop procedures.
• Identify issues, recommend solutions and perform replacement of brakes, suspension components, steering systems and major engine components.
• Conduct body building tasks, including welding and grinding of chassis or comb rails on flat top trailers
• Handle auto electrical work on all 12V or 24V systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues ensuring minimal downtime
• Order and replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring adherence to Quality Standards and Manufacture Specifications
