The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003, as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. We share a common management structure with one CEO and a commitment to partnership, with shared Mission, Vision, and Values. The Alliance Board combines members from both hospital boards. Listowel Memorial Hospital has been providing acute and complex continuing care services since 1919, serving North Perth and surrounding areas. Our accredited hospital offers primary and secondary services, including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, specialist clinics, and diagnostic services. Our staff includes 10 Family Practitioners and several specialists.

Description : The Clinical Informatics Specialist acts as a liaison between clinical areas and the IT / Clinical Informatics department, focusing on identifying needs for clinical applications, supporting evaluation, selection, and implementation of systems, and training staff to optimize system use. This is a temporary, full-time role starting July 2025 through December 2026, working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities : Support and educate users on clinical systems; analyze workflows; plan and develop clinical information technologiesLead system upgrades, testing, and implementationTrack and resolve system issues; communicate solutions to usersDevelop and demonstrate proofs of concept; suggest system modificationsTrain clinical staff on system features and operationsDesign and facilitate education programs using structured curriculum developmentCollaborate on system configuration and optimizationWork with vendors for future system enhancementsLead workflow mapping and clinical information system integrationDevelop annual CI plans aligned with organizational goalsParticipate in software implementation projects and monitor progressSupport quality improvement initiatives and ongoing support for clinical areasStay current with new technologies and participate in relevant trainingQualifications : Undergraduate degree in a health-related field5-7 years of healthcare experienceExperience with Cerner clinical systems and adult learning principles is an assetRequires high mental effort and analysis; minimal physical effortSalary : $40.20-$50.25 per hour (based on experience)
