Business ContributionThe Mechanical Technician maintain the fleet of rental equipment, carry out maintenance of client's tools, perform calibrations / testing of all tools & handle stores activities such as goods in / goods out.
- Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the rental feet.
- Perform service, fault finding and repair on an extensive range of hydraulic components and systems for both our oil and gas and mining clients.
- Assure safe operation of the workshop & other workshop staff.
- Ensure timeous delivery / dispatch of rental goods in & out.
- Perform calibrations / testing & certification process.
- Manage rental fleet tracking / labelling system.
- Perform stock-takes in co-operation with admin.
- Handle goods-in & goods-out as well as packaging of goods.
- Maintain a clean stores & work area that is tidy and free from hazards.
- Report any accidents (person, property, or vehicles) to the WM or GM.
- Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time by the WM or GM.
- Flexible in approach and willing to assist in other areas as required.
- Required Capabilities
- Strong team player, with a flexible and positive attitude and the ability to work with others.
- Takes pride in the quality of the work.
- Has clean working habits & is willing to go to the extra mile when sometimes required.
- Have a current driver's license.
- Education and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience mechanical experience.
- TAFE Cert 3 or equivalent qualifications & a forklift license would be an advantage.
