Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Plutonic Gold Mine produces 85koz of gold annually. The Company also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo.
Over the next 12 to 18 months, the Company plans to bring three new mining areas at Plutonic into production.

About the Role
Working a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, with night and day shifts, you will be part of an experienced maintenance team of over 60 people.
Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, our Auto Electricians are responsible for quality preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on our heavy mobile fleet, which includes modern Sandvik development and production rigs, Sandvik load and haul fleet, Normet charge rigs, Volvo IT’s, and various ancillary plant and RCT remote control systems.
The mobile plant maintenance workshop features a 6-bay steel structured workshop with 2 overhead cranes and a service pit. We maintain over $4 million worth of parts and consumables in our dedicated maintenance store, centrally located to the workshop. There is also a separate Light Vehicle workshop and a dedicated boilermaker facility nearby.
You will receive ongoing OEM training, providing opportunities for skill development and career progression.
Ideal candidates will have :
- Recognised Auto Electrical Trade Certificate
- Previous experience with underground equipment
- Experience with RCT remote control systems
- ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- A commitment to Health & Safety
- Motivation and ability to work independently
- Teamwork skills and a positive work ethic
- Current "C" Class WA Drivers Licence
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
Are you seeking a permanent fly-in, fly-out position offering long-term job security and a family-friendly roster? If so, this opportunity is for you.
Departing from Perth, you'll fly directly to Plutonic, arriving within 90 minutes. On site, you'll be accommodated in a well-established camp with facilities including a gym, squash courts, tennis / basketball court, pool, and modern ensuite rooms with WiFi. The camp is a 5-minute drive to the mine complex.
