Responsibilities Use measuring devices, laser levels, power / hand tools, and mixers Laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints / removing excess Embedding blocks in the mortar and removing excess mortar Checking vertical and horizontal alignment Cutting and shaping stones and bricks using machines and hand tools Repairing and maintaining bricks and cement blocks Constructing walls using brick, stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks Supervise apprentice bricklayers, bricklayers labourers and OH&S at the site Benefits
