    • A super exciting Marketing role has opened up at Platypus shoes, and we are on the hunt for an ambitions marketer who is ready to take the footwear market by storm.

      Our Platypus Marketing pillars include Inclusivity & Diversity, Music, Art and Dance. With that, we have bought some epic campaigns to life including, partnering with the Aussie music icons G FLIP & Tash Saultana, being the exclusive footwear & streetwear sponsor of Splendour In the Grass & Falls Festival, launching our back to school campaign with the cast of Heart Break High and partnering with our many Global brand partners to bring their products to life through our "Plat Lens."

    • About the role
    • We have an exciting role available for a Brand Partnerships Marketing Specialist to join our Platypus Marketing Team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Platypus. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Platypus Brand Partner & Retail marketing activities to ensure it meets the long term objectives of the business.

      You will be responsible for the marketing strategy for all our global footwear & apparel brand partners and will work collaborative with the wider Platypus & Accent support teams to execute these campaigns. Allowing you the freedom to add your creative twist and see your vision come to life. You will have 1 direct report - Retail Marketing Coordinator where you will be responsible for their learning and development & execution of work.

      This is a fast paced role, with endless opportunity. Perfect for an ambitious, multi-disciplined Marketing Specialist. No day is the same, from campaign photo shoots, retail activations, briefing, Brand Partner meetings and strategy workshops - the opportunity to make this role your own.

    • Your key responsibilities will include
    • Manage the strategy and overall execution of all brand partner activity and communication. Including budgeting, approvals, sample management and campaign creatives.
    • Responsible for all 360 Primary, Secondary campaigns on a 3 week rotation. While also supporting energy campaigns from concept to execution, working closely with the team to delegate where necessary
    • Working closely with the Head of Marketing - Platypus to build the retail marketing strategy for all 180+ Platypus stores. With a focus on the regional expansion plan.
    • Manage the execution of retail based activations, such as pop ups, events and in centre activity
    • Drive the strategy & execution for two of the business key growth categories : Apparel & ITNO
    • Ownership & planning of the marketing calendar to ensure all key product stories and brand messages are being told
    • Liaising with brand partners to ensure campaigns are executed to plan and all global sign-offs are given prior to any campaign in market
    • Carry out specific Trade Marketing programs and supporting with weekly Trade based actions
    • Working closely with The Agency & Creative teams, build, plan and support creative briefs to ensure campaigns are executed and go-to-market activity aligns with brand and brand partners guidelines
    • Work cross functionally with different departments including Buying, Planning, VM and Digital teams to ensure effective campaign roll outs. Being the go - to contact within the Platypus Marketing team.
    • Monitor progress and report on campaign success with internal and external stakeholders
    • Raise, manage and track all co-op marketing spend through the PO spreadsheet ensuring all invoices are paid and reimbursements are raised
    • Oversee all POP ordering and asset switch out for all Retail stores to ensure every store has the correct, relevant imagery.
    • Manage the Retail Marketing Coordinators development and ways of working
    • To succeed in this role, you will need to have
    • Demonstrated 3 years of experience working in a fast paced Marketing role and leading key projects end to end across brand and retail touchpoints.
    • Passion and knowledge of the Fashion Footwear and Apparel Landscape in Australia and New Zealand
