Due to the rapid growth of the Rivalea business, we are currently recruiting an experienced Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager to join our Supply Chain team. Based at our processing site in Laverton, the newly appointed S&OP Manager will be responsible for improving the planning strategies for our three processing facilities ensuring operationally efficient methods and optimising resources. This position will collaborate across sales, farming and operations to deliver a sustainable competitive advantage for the company, customers and suppliers.
Develop, execute and communicate a Master Production Schedule with a focus to manage and link sales requirements, farming requirements and operational capabilityUnderstand material and capacity constraints and provide feedback to stakeholders around predicted failures due to demand, supply or other changesContribute to the ongoing refinement of the planning process, ensuring that the process is adapting to a changing environmentDevelop and monitor feasible production schedules taking into consideration production constraintsDevelop and monitor feasible farming deliverables taking into consideration livestock seasonality and growing trendsInteract with commercial teams to shape demand when requirements cannot be met by suggesting and evaluating alternativesWork with operations to resolve manufacturing efficiency issues or production information as requested from operations, sales or financeDevelop, implement, maintain and execute planning parameters within planning systemsRun the supply review process ensuring long, medium and short-term capacity requirements are communicated within the businessDrive effective communication with all stakeholders, supported by factual reporting and analysisCreate cost contingency plans and scenarios, supported by the operational and finance teamsBe an important player in the yearly the budget processAbout YouTertiary qualifications in business, supply chain / materials management or related disciplinePrevious experience in planning production across large food manufacturing operationsSolid experience in the production process, capacity planning, and scheduling techniquesStrong knowledge of Integrated Business Planning, Integrated Tactical Planning and Demand ManagementExceptional Distribution Requirements Planning abilitiesProven experience in writing quality business documentationProven experience in process improvementExperience in delivering high quality customer service, providing customers with options and solutionsAbility to articulate key metrics and root causes of performance to stakeholdersAbility to effectively manage people and leading teams including team building, fostering a positive learning culture and driving high performanceHigh level verbal and written communication skillsStrong experience engaging with and managing business stakeholdersStrong experience with managing complex problem solving, and the ability to develop solutions to meet business outcomeExceptional experience in handling difficult behaviour and the ability to respond to a range of challenging behaviours in ways that de-escalate conflictStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to effectively manage, organise and prioritise multiple work assignments within a fast-paced environmentWhat next?If you're passionate and want to be a part of the largest meat, pork and salmon manufacturer and producer in Australia, this opportunity may be for you
