Woodside Energy is seeking a Process Safety Engineer for a 12-month contract with potential extension. This role is based in Perth, with occasional trips to site.
As part of the NWS offshore team, the Process Safety Engineer will operate in a dynamic environment with diverse technical and business requirements, providing support and valuable advice.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Identify, assess, and manage hazards, focusing on accident events that could impact personnel, such as fatalities or process safety incidents.
- Lead and coach the business in process safety management.
- Manage regulatory engagement and compliance.
- Facilitate safety workshops.
- Advise and support on Safety in Design and Process Safety Management for operations, development, and projects.
- Define, plan, and coordinate process safety activities within assigned areas.
- Ensure delivery of safety in design engineering in line with scope of work.
- Maintain standards, processes, and procedures for integrity management.
- Ensure discipline-specific competency and skill development plans are current.
- Ensure inherent safety principles are followed, and risks are ALARP.
- Coordinate with the Technical Authority on key risks and mitigation plans.
- Respond to technical queries promptly.
- Review contractor safety in design documentation, including comment resolution.
- Promote continuous improvement aligned with Woodside's health and safety policies.
- Contribute to internal capability development and lessons learned.
Skills & Experience :
