Job description

As a leader in the Engineering unit, you will contribute to the company's success by leading the Data Engineering team. You will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Data Engineering Team while reporting directly to the Head of Test Engineering.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to define and gain the overall data strategy and delivery timelines, while creating and implementing growth strategies. You will ensure effective execution of our projects and aligning data engineering activities to company objectives. You will collaborate and negotiate with technical expert(s) to define and delivery the company wide Data Strategy.

  • About the Role
  • Communicate negotiate & coordinate with multiple stakeholders across the organisation to formalise the company data strategy
  • Lead the data engineering team to deliver the formal data strategy
  • Formalise and enhance data engineering practices and overall technology / platform
  • Evaluate new technologies and emerging solutions to ensure continuous development of our platform
  • Actively lead and enhance process improvement to drive operational efficiency
  • Develop strategic alliance with external supplier(s) to support in design & delivery
  • Sets direction based on alignment to business objectives
  • Develop L&D plan per team member
  • Hiring skill personnel in line with strategic planning
  • Supporting Business Unit Heads in RFIs / RFQs by providing OPEX & CAPEX estimations
  • We're looking for someone who has
  • Bachelor's Degree of Data, Science or Tech
  • At least 4 to 5 years of experience in managing a team
  • Experience working with and Managing Data Teams / Projects
  • Demonstrated highly developed communication and collaboration skills
  • Commercial experience in data science and data engineering principles, including the machine learning lifecycle, DataOps and MLOps
  • You will have extensive technical experience in establishing, managing, and scaling data platforms.
  • You will possess strong people leadership skill and cross functional expertise.
  • You will have strong capability in strategy and operation planning with an ability to execute on those plans.
  • Effective priority management is a must to ensure delivery of high value projects & long-term goals Your team will look to you for advice on technical and business challenges.
