Support Your Way is seeking motivated support workers to join our growing personal care team for persons with disabilities within the Mitchell Park area and surrounding suburbs. Support Your Way is an organisation that seeks to ensure every person with disability is supported to be living their best lives, tailored to their own individual experience and needs. Support workers promote a person with disability's independence in the community, supporting them in their daily living tasks.
At this time we are seeking staff with a particular skill set, the successful applicant will show confidence and diligence, with a strong willingness to listen to participant instructions. We are seeking staff that are highly experienced with complex physical disabilities and feel confident using lifters. Previous experience with working with individuals with Spinal Muscular Atrophy highly desirable, must have proficiency in English.
Other tasks may include transferring, manual handling, domestic assistance, social support, in-home personal care, medication administration, meal preparation and transport. Please note, these shifts will be conducted at a participant's home and or out in the community
While we have a broad range of shifts depending on our participants' needs we would like to note that we are a small company that is gradually expanding. This is a casual position, many of our shifts range in time from 2-6 hours per shift. We seek to connect workers with the right participants and so to be successful in this position it must be understood hours will start off smaller with the capacity to build over time as you meet and are matched with the appropriate participants. Support workers must be willing to take on all types of shifts; personal care, transportation, community access and domestic assistance.

All staff are required to have completed a COVID-19 Infection Control Training Course. Staff will be provided with PPE for shifts where necessary, and all staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19 (must have had received a third booster shot).
