    • The Opportunity
    • Responsible for leading the transport function for QLD Store delivery with accountability for safe operations, service levels, financial performance, transport asset management, carrier management, customer interaction, and stakeholder partnering.

      You will help your team to identify and execute optimisation and operational excellence initiatives and activities whilst supporting and delivering Primary Connect's transport strategy by identifying any transport impacts to the end-to-end goals.

    • A summary of responsibilities will include, however not be limited to
    • Promote and maintain a high standard of safety
    • Control expenditure of the QLD operating budgets
    • Working end-to-end and in consultation with State Supply Chain Managers, lead the delivery of service level outcomes for stores measured through DIFOT
    • Manage the transport planning and allocation function (whether PC or 3PL) to optimise overall cost to serve (including fleet utilisation and integration with inbound freight tasks)
    • Working with National and State Finance teams, establish and maintain ownership for the region Store Delivery cost, budgets and reporting.
    • Responsibility for change management and driving Primary Connect strategy across QLD
    • Through the national fleet team manage the cost of repairs and maintenance of Woolworths owned / controlled fleet and assets
    • About You
    • Experience in a senior leadership role and demonstrated ability in managing teams of people across various locations
    • Demonstrated safety leadership and understanding of safety obligations and governance
    • Demonstrated achievements in strategy execution, service delivery, cost management, team leadership, continuous improvement, and leading and implementing change
    • Understanding of supply chain principles
    • Understanding of analytic principles to drive improvement
    • Experience in developing budgets, position papers, business plans and recommendations and managing commercial outcomes
    • Experience in FMCG, distribution or retail, and formal qualifications in business or supply chain operations, desirable
