The future of transport mobility is shaped by evolving complex and uncertain forces. To prepare transport in Queensland for the future, the unit leads the department's strategic foresight which includes scenario planning, horizon scanning, monitoring the key drivers of change, and foresight analysis to inform strategic and resilient transport policy.

As Senior Policy Advisor in the Policy Analysis and Engagement Unit, some of your responsibilities will include :

• Conduct horizon scanning, monitor key drivers of change and emerging transport trends, and support scenario planning and trend analysis to inform strategic transport policy.
• Draft well-researched advice on transport policy including drafting policy documents, correspondences, cabinet submissions, reports, briefs, articles, newsletters, and presentations, clearly outlining policy options informed by foresight and analysis.
• Support policy program management and reporting, including implementing digital solutions to automate reporting and data visualisation to provide insights and support strategic transport policy.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across government and industry to support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and policy development.
• Support the Managers and Unit Director as required, and contribute to a team culture of high performance, safe work environment and continuous improvement. Participate constructively in performance conversations.
