This is an opportunity to lead the key initiatives of the Business Data Reporting team, with a focus on enabling data-driven decision making across APRA. This includes the delivery of dashboards, reports and other data visualisations for internal dissemination.
The Business Data Reporting team is responsible for the dissemination of data within APRA via interactive visualisations and dashboards, promoting data-enabled decision making.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business and External Data Reporting, the role responsibilities includeGuiding and supporting the team in progressing the team deliverables they are responsible for and in meeting their own performance goals;Identifying and addressing any potential barriers in delivering the team's objectives / deliverables;Supporting key data-related initiatives within APRA with a focus on internal data dissemination;Working closely with different internal stakeholders to deliver on their data needs and to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose;Working with the team to :Design and build wide range of dashboards in Power BI;Work alongside the data engineers and developers to understand the data flowing through a range of environments and make this data easily accessible to stakeholders;Improve, automate and maintain reports, while educating stakeholders on benefits of moving away from manual processes;Provide input in discussion to develop databases and systems for imputing, managing and securing organisations data;Support users in the use of Power BI to consume and build reports, including providing training;Provide guidance on best practice in terms of report design and building in Power BIDesired knowledge and experienceProven interest in data and the insights that can be obtained through data;Belief in the benefits of data enabled decision making;Demonstrated experience in PowerBI, report generation and utilising large data sets is essential;Background in finance, economics or relevant discipline;People management skills or aptitude; andA demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
