Boilermaker to our Sunshine Coastworkshop with experience on civil construction and marine equipment! This opportunity will combine local work based in our Sunshine Coast workshop, also with exposure to FIFO projects. Across Australia we have projects in almost every state from Mooloolaba Beach QLD to the Pilbara WA, and internationally we have projects in countries including Indonesia, Fiji and the pacific islands, offering you diversity and an exciting chance to see the country and the world!This role will be primarily based in Hall Contracting's Sunshine Coast workshop. It is essential for successful applicants to live in (or be willing to relocate to) this areaThe BenefitsLocal based role in our workshop on the beautiful Sunshine CoastOpportunities to gain experience in FIFO and the marine industryFIFO work includes flights, accommodation and transfers from your doorstep with Living Away from Home allowances providedFull-time permanent position from day 1, offering you stability and security with a business that has been in operation for 78 years!Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm with some Saturdays as requiredVariety of work with exposure to a broad range of marine and civil equipmentOpportunities to expand your qualifications, knowledge and skills through trainingOpportunities to advance your careerWages are base rate with penalties, and are paid weeklySuper paid on all hoursKey ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and repair on heavy earthmoving plant.Maintenance and repair on marine equipment (dredges, barges, workboats etc.) including hull replacement and modifications to structures.Undertaking general fabrications including handrails, frames and pipework (25nb-900nb)Bucket repairs and rebuilds, including crack repairs and replacement of wear parts on a variety of buckets from 23T right up to 500T machinesAdhering to all OHS Policies & Procedures at all times and ensuring safety is not compromisedAbout YouBoilermaker Trade Certificate or an equivalent qualification (essential)Experience in civil earthmoving equipment is highly regarded but not essentialExperience maintaining / repairing marine equipment (vessels, workboats, barges, dredges) is highly regarded but not essentialExperience in most welding processes on a variety of metals including GMAW, FCAW, MMAW and GTAW. As well as air arc gouging, plasma cutting and thermal cutting / welding processesAbility to problem solve and think on the run, you will be involved in all stages of your task from concept and design, right through to executionThe ability to be multi-skilled across a range of trades from fabrication to mechanical will behighly regardedHave sound computer skills and be able to work with our online maintenance / work order system.Have the flexibility to participate in FIFO projectsaccording to demands (flights, transfers and accommodation will be provided)Please do not hesitate to contact
