About you To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Middle Leader - Science as well as : Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum Commitment to child safety Appropriate qualifications and experience Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills A clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA Senior School processes Proven organisational skills An ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents / carers to achieve the best outcomes Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement. - The Curriculum Leader Science position supports the mission of the College through leadership of the learning and teaching program. The ability to teach in senior science areas of Biology, Psychology. Chemistry or physics is preferred with the ability to teach Religion is advantageous. This involves developing appropriate curriculum in line with national, state and Brisbane Catholic Education requirements; ensuring that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels; ensuring the quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate supervision; utilising thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions; developing appropriate partnerships within and outside the College; and prudently administering available resources.
