This role develops and implements strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with WHS and workers compensation legislation, reduce workplace risks, and enhance employee wellbeing.
Collaborating with stakeholders, the specialist leads risk assessments, incident investigations, manages return to work portfolio and WHS initiatives while providing expert guidance to employees and leaders.The Work Health, Safety and Wellbeing Specialistpromotes the mission and values (hospitality, respect, healing, and stewardship) of Calvary through promoting wellbeing initiatives and modelling safety leadership.
About you : Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS or experience in a related discipline or equivalent work experience in a related discipline, or a combination of study and work experienceStrong working knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, ISO 45001 standards, and regulatory requirements and proven experience in leading incident investigations, audits, and risk assessmentsDemonstrated ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate WHS and wellbeing training programsProven experience in effectively managing workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programsHighly developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations, and data analysis for informed decision-makingStrong negotiation and relationship-building skills to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholdersHigh-level organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care KogarahFor further information please contact Helene Delinicolis (Human Resources Manager) on
